Kinder Morgan Tejas Pipeline LLC's ("KM Tejas") intrastate pipeline system includes
approximately 3,244 miles of natural gas transmission pipelines ranging from 6” to 36”
in diameter, together with appurtenant laterals and related facilities in Texas.
KM Tejas purchases and/or receives natural gas from producing fields in South Texas,
the Gulf Coast area, and the Gulf of Mexico for sale and/or delivery to markets in the
Houston, Corpus Christi, East Texas, and Beaumont/Port Arthur areas. KM Tejas provides
natural gas purchase, sale, gathering, transportation, storage, processing and treating
services.
KM Tejas’ system includes gas storage, processing and treating facilities.
KM Tejas has interconnects with approximately 30 other intrastate and interstate
pipelines.
KM Tejas is a merchant, as well as a transporter, of natural gas. Principal customers
of KM Tejas include the electric and natural gas utilities that serve the Houston,
Corpus Christi, and Beaumont/Port Arthur areas and industrial customers located along
the Houston Ship Channel and in the Baytown/Beaumont/Port Arthur area.
